Day Opportunities service
We provide rehabilitative group sessions at our premises in Dudley for two sessions per day, morning and afternoon, on four days a week, Monday to Thursday.
People from Dudley, Walsall and Sandwell with acquired brain injury attend these sessions.
For Wolverhampton residents with acquired brain injury, we provide an outreach service in Wolverhampton on one day per week for two sessions, working on cognitive rehabilitation.
In Dudley at the present time we provide rehabilitative groups in Computer Skills, Social and Creative Art, Creative Expression (supporting people who have difficulty with communication), Cognitive and Life Skills and Social Interaction and Communication.
The subject matter of the sessions varies from time to time as we try to adapt to the needs of the people who attend rather than trying to fit people into a fixed programme.
The cognitive sessions provide a progressive programme aimed at building on any learning and strategies gained by the people attending.
Please contact Headway Black Country’s office for up to date and more detailed information on our Day Opportunities services and how to make a referral.
