Carers

The family and carers of someone who has a brain injury are almost certainly likely to be affected by the changes in their partner, father, mother, child or friend.

It is important that they are offered support and given information about the difficulties the person with the brain injury may have and how these can be understood and helped.

At Headway Black Country we want to provide the support and information the family and carers need to be able to cope with what is regularly a very stressful situation.

We run a dedicated support group at West Park Hospital for carers living in the Borough of Wolverhampton.

Over a twelve month period we provide for all carers, at least one training and information session held in one of the Boroughs in the Black Country.

We have a resource library of leaflets and booklets covering all aspects of acquired brain injury and will always provide a listening ear.

Please contact the Headway Black Country office to talk to someone who understands and for further information on the services we can offer.
